Firmness
We use a scale of 1-10 to rank mattresses. One is super soft, five are medium and ten are extremely firm. We can confidently state that the Bear Original’s comfort level is medium to firm based on what we discovered while testing it. 7 to be exact.
The Bear company has advertised its namesake mattress to be medium-firm, so at least they were accurate in providing that information. The overall construction is still sturdy and stable despite the fact that memory foam has been praised for its ability to sink into the body. Bear Original features a thick layer high-density foam as the foundation. This material is solid and not as flexible as spring coils.
Placing that material under the memory foam gives this mattress more positives. The top layer may be pliable enough to shape the sleeper’s silhouette, but, thankfully, it’s countered by a more rigid foundation underneath, creating what appears to be a perfect balance. Pressure relief

Temperature

All-foam mattresses may be known for not having the best insulation, but this one performed surprisingly well in maintaining the temperature, at least to a neutral level – not too hot yet not too cold.

In the case of heavyweight sleepers, however, the Bear may not work well in their favor. On the Stomach

This position is comfortable for both average and light-weighted people. At first, they may find the Bear to have the appropriate support on the stomach. But in the long run, since the mattress is all-foam, softness and sinkage may be inevitable, and it’s up to them to adjust. On the Sides
Similar to laying flat on the stomach, how the Bear feels on the person while sleeping on either side will depend on personal circumstances.
